Credit/Collections Supervisor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Direct manage Corporate Credit, Collection AR Policy while maximizing sales minimizing losses.
? Assemble, evaluate enforce Credit, Collection AR Department policies procedures. Revise or update on an as needed basis.
? Review approve credit lines on all accounts that exceed the authority limits of the Director of Credit. The VP of Credit will oversee and if deemed necessary, personally handle accounts exceeding Credit Director?s line of authority. VP of Credit will submit to CFO for credit line approval sign-off all accounts that require credit lines that exceed the VP of Credit?s line of authority.
? Interaction with Senior Management, Sales Management and other Department Managers on a regular basis to discuss any outstanding Credit or AR issues or problems.
? Ensure that the Credit Department is achieving and maintaining AR collection, DSO, and charge-back reduction goals. Review with Director of Credit on a regular basis.
? Ensure that the AR month end is properly closed in a timely manner and that the required month end reports are sent to the CFO.
? Meet with Director of Credit periodically to discuss the status of the ongoing development training of staff and re-evaluate all job descriptions.
? Monthly review of all bad debt write-offs and bad debt recovery activities on bankruptcies as well as those collections outsourced to third party collection agencies.
? Responsible for keeping informed of trends financial condition on Company?s major retail trading partners.
? Interact with Director of Credit, Chargeback Mgr. Sales Management teams, whenever necessary, to ensure timely handling reconciliation of markdown co-op allowances.
? Coordinate with Director of Credit on AR activities as they relate to internal external audits.
? Along with the Director of Credit, review wherever necessary negotiate all department related contracts (i.e. D B, JBT etc.).
? Review negotiate the Credit Insurance Policy on an annual basis.
? Prepare annual budget for the department.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
? A minimum of ten year?s Credit, Collection AR management experience
? Strong knowledge of Credit, Collection AR policies procedures
? Strong management organizational skills.
? Strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills
? Ability to analyze financial statements
? Strong Customer Service, Negotiation and Supervisory skills
? Must be a Team Player
? Must have the ability to work independently to multi-task.
? Good computer skills to include Excel, Word, Email, Internet, etc.
? Watch or Jewelry industry background is a plus.
? Wholesale industry background experience with National Regional Dept Store Retail Chains a strong plus.
? Experience with Microsoft Navision system a plus.
