Description
OfficeTeam currently is looking to fill a position for a talented and motivated Human Resources Assistant with exceptional organization skills in the Transport industry. The Human Resources Assistant will be accountable for a variety of personnel related administrative tasks and will provide clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. This long-term temporary-to-full-time employment with an organization in the Transport industry and is based in the Toledo, Ohio area. Your responsibilities in this role

- Assist with planning new employee orientation meetings

- Be in charge of administrative and office responsibilities

- Manage employee database archives

- Research the internet to discover potential customers
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Administrative Office experience

- Strong familiarity with workers compensation REQUIRED

- Comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources (HR) Administration

- Command of HR (Human Resources)

- FMLA experience preferred

- Capability to interact with all levels of staff in a rapidly quickly changing environment while maintaining an approachable and appropriate demeanor

- At least 1+ years of HR related experience desired

- A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, or a comparative business or communications degree.

- Familiar with office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)

- Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects

- Prior experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
