Description

The Sales Assistant is a long-term temporary-to-full-time position based in Southaven, Mississippi.

Your responsibilities

- Assisting in coordinating orders to ensure completion of process

- Writing communications and proofreading materials

- Handling and organizing internal training courses

- Maintaining kindness and professionalism while interacting with customers to provide superior customer service

- Completing ancillary Sales Assistant tasks as needed

- Preparing sales reports and presentations

- Supporting sales teams by providing administrative, technical and clerical support

- Assisting with preparations for trade shows and conventions and attending them

- Supporting the sales department with the promotion of company products and services
Requirements
- Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures

- Employer prefers a BA/BS degree in business, communications, or a related field for this position

- Preferred: 1+ years of Sales Assistant experience

- Good understanding of PowerPoint

- Exceptional social skills, previous experience coordinating projects, and able to work well with all internal personnel, outside clients and vendors

- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

- Earlier work involving order entry

- Hands-on experience with switchboard phones from 1-10 lines

- Prior experience with typing 45 - 60 words per minute

- Solid understanding of workflow processes

- Proficiency in database management

- Email experience preferred

- Well-founded grasp of filing

- Editing experience highly desired

- General familiarity with reviewing documents for spelling and grammar

- Proven knowledge of documentation

- Wide ranging experience with Microsoft Word

- Knowledge of complaints

- Good understanding of pricing

- Experience with reviewing documents for spelling and grammar

- Previous experience working with proofreading

- Knowledge of benefits coordination

- Solid understanding of customer service

- Deep understanding of contracts

- Skills in research

- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel

- Solid understanding of benefits administration

- Comprehension of scanning

- Quality experience with Microsoft Outlook
