Description

A successful company is seeking a Controller through Robert Half Finance to take responsibility for its accounting and clerical department. This full-time position is for a Controller who will work in the Seattle, Washington region.

Salary: DOE

Responsibilities:
-Maintain internal books and finances
-Analyze financial transactions
-Lead our 3+ person accounting team
-Manage timely and accurate reports for investors and 3rd party clients
-Design and maintain internal controls and ensure they are adhered to
-Prepare tax reports for CPA
-Work with Cost Segregation experts

Qualifications:
- 5 years? experience in Accounting
- 3 years? experience in Property Management Accounting
- Bachelor's Degree; MBA or Master?s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent knowledge of tax terminology
- Experience with Property Management or Real Estate Accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with extensive knowledge of Excel
- Good verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and focus on quality work product
- Experience with Appfolio a plus

Requirements
- Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

- Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

- Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- Microsoft Excel experience

- Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills

- Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired

- Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

- CPA/MBA preferred

- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
