Description
Robert Half HR Services in San Jose, CA is seeking a HR Payroll Administrator for our client in San Jose, CA. This is a contract opportunity. This role can interview and start immediately.

This role will reports directly to HR Director. Works closely with the Controller, the accounting team and when necessary, the Director of Finance.

Typical Duties:
? Available during regular business hours to meet and respond to the needs of our client's, and beyond regular business hours on occasion.
? Audit all timesheet submittals on payroll processing date to ensure all are completed.
? Process and manage the bi-weekly payroll and through the transitional period of an out-sourced payroll company (ADP Workforce Now).
? Process tax payments each pay period.
? Balance the needs of the company with the needs of the employee.
? Make every effort to engage the staff and build a positive connection with HR. Assist with morale building exercises.
? Coordinate with HR Director on improving overall employee satisfaction and promote the vision of our client's corporate culture.
? Process employee final pay checks, including vacation time.
? Knowledge of client's Benefits:

? Comply with outside agency auditors as needed.
? Coordinate with members of accounting on monthly close, payroll expense, benefit expenses, 401K funding and distributions and other finance related functions.
? Reconcile all benefit invoices and provide to accounting in a timely manner.
? Ensure employee information are accurate.

? Strong knowledge of benefit and compensation plans, including HRIS systems such as ADP Workflow.

? Knowledge of Microsoft Office including strong knowledge of Excel, and ADP Workforce Now.
? Knowledge of Vision Care , a plus.
Requirements
Required:
Associates degree or higher preferred. At least 3 years of Human Resources and payroll experience, including Wage and Hour Laws for San Jose, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Experience with benefit administration. Understanding employment laws and tax laws for Federal and State.
