Interim Project-Based Financial

Dynamic company seeks a Senior Financial Analyst for a long term temporary project opportunity. This primary focus of this position will be in supporting the Senior Vice President of Research and Development (R&D). All financial issues will be managed by the Senior Financial Analyst consultant that includes project spending, planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting. Following public reporting requirements, you will provide decision-making support for future company investments after performing analysis on the operating results and financial performance of core business segments. Your responsibilities

- Evaluate financial results, summarize key issues, and articulate integral messages to senior management in order to drive existing management reporting

- Move rollout of cloud reporting and forecasting. Control CapEx and OpEx forecasting processes for Infrastructure Engineering Delivery

- Offer assistance for ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests as necessary

- Optimize business performance by identifying and executing financial analysis

- Manage positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership

- Execute improved management reporting by working with Operations and Accounting to more discreetly and accurately track financial results

- Analyze financial results, distill/synthesize key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate critical updates to senior leadership all in the course of preparing monthly and quarterly management reports

- Work closely with Functional leads - provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance, and ensure alignment of global as well as local operational initiatives

- Help create sustainable business, operational, and financial processes to be understood by all necessary teams

- Oversee the puts and takes process, along with monthly and quarterly close

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills

- Skills in critical thinking and the ability to operate effectively with management

- Proven knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint

- Necessary education includes a BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or a related field

- Expertise in financial analysis

- Financial planning experience

- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel

- Skilled in working cross functionally across teams and gaining favor of key decision makers

- Background in R&D finance highly valued

- Track-record in process reengineering and optimization

- Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

- PowerPoint, Hyperion, and PowerBI skills are highly valued
