Accountemps has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that offers an invigorating work environment among a team of motivated professionals. The candidate in this position will be reporting to the Accounting Manager while attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are integral functions for this position. How you will make an impact

- Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks

- Accomplish full-cycle A/P

- Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners

- Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

- Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

- Facilitate internal and external audits as needed

- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed

- Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

- Well-founded grasp of Credit Card Reconciliation

- Good understanding of expense reports

- Experience with Check Runs

- Previous experience working with Manual Checks

- Microsoft Excel experience required

- Comprehension of journal entries

- Wide ranging experience with data entry

- Skills in month end closings

- Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

- General familiarity with Credit Card Payments

- Proven knowledge of Abila MIP

- Proficiency in cash reconciliations

- Quality experience with Process Credit Card

- Foundational knowledge in check processing

- Earlier work involving Expense Reporting

- Practical knowledge of Process Credit Card

- Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

- High attention to detail

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
