Robert Half Management Resources is seeking a skilled Financial Reporting and Compliance Specialist for an exciting short-term 2-3 month opportunity. Apply for this opportunity if you have excellent SEC financial reporting and SEC compliance skills. This role is located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.
Key responsibilities
• Assist in reporting process including preparation of the Form 10-K, 10-Q and financial information related to the quarterly earnings releases, including all relevant support, and comments from internal management, legal, and external auditors.
• Assist in other SEC and statutory filings.
• Coordinates detailed work papers to support disclosures included in financial statements and SEC filings.
• Manage equity compensation plans including stock-based compensation, expense calculation and assumption evaluation.
• Evaluates and monitor material contract listings and process for financial statement impacts and disclosures.
• Facilitate company-wide SOX process and maintain processes in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley and adherence to internal control and company policies and procedures.
• Assists GC and CFO with board/audit committee meeting material.
Education/Experience Requirements
• Act as liaison with majority shareholder on policy and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA a plus.
• 4-6 years of related experience with progressively greater responsibilities.
• In-depth accounting experience including equity and stock based compensation administration and accounting, license and collaborative arrangements, financial statements and footnotes, SOX compliance, internal controls and SEC reporting.
• Knowledge of GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Demonstrated experience managing SOX compliance.
• Public company experience.
• Experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry preferable.

• Strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels in the organization.
• Strong organization and time management skills to ensure successful and timely completion of projects.
