Description
A client Robert Half Finance and Accounting has partnered with is looking for a talented Payroll Administrator to manage the production of accurate and timely payroll for employees, communicate effectively, and deliver strong internal customer service while working in a deadline-driven environment. This full-time employment opportunity is based in the Kapolei, Hawaii area. Submit your application as soon as possible!

What you get to do every day

- Manage data entered by others in the payroll software to include, but not limited to salary/wage increases, benefit deductions, employee termination dates, and employee leaves of absence under FMLA or other unpaid leave

- Agree to current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data, including payroll taxes, employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other required reporting

- Investigate pay practices related to FLSA, other payroll areas, and fringe benefit reporting to determine how those practices apply to advise management

- Manage voluntary deductions, as well as wage garnishments, pay levies, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary authorities

- Oversee regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger

- Guide staff with pay related issues, general questions related to payroll, PTO accruals, wage deductions, and fringe benefits

- Arrange timely processing of payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles

- Pool resources with Human Resources, Information Technology, and other internal business partners to ensure security protocols for pay systems

- Generate systems and protocols to direct the collection, calculation and entering of pay data

- Manage quarterly and year-end payroll reports
Requirements
- Must have experience working with an HRIS system and high proficiency with spreadsheets

- Accounts Payable (AP) experience highly preferred

- Union payroll experience

- Demonstrated knowledge of Process Payroll

- Expertise in HRIS Payroll System

- Experience with Process Bi-weekly Payroll

- General familiarity with Union Payroll

- Practical knowledge of Weekly Payroll

- Solid understanding of payroll

- Proficiency in payroll systems for 100-500 employees

- Adeptness in Process Biweekly Payroll

- Prior practice in various withholdings, garnishments, and processing liens

- 3+ years of payroll experience

- FPC or CPP will be vital
