Description
? Manages all network equipment (routers, switches, UPSs), and security solutions (firewall, intrusion detection, and access controls list).
? Provide recommendations for server/network hardware and software infrastructure expansion.
? Installs supports and maintains server/network hardware and software infrastructure.
? Manages email, spam filter, and virus protection.
? Perform server and device hardening
? Provide monitoring and reporting of network usage.
? Maintain, troubleshoot and configure new routing in BGP, OSPF, and static routes
? Manage and troubleshoot multiple internet paths
? Manage, maintain, and configure the connectivity to an offsite DR location.
? Assists System Engineers in ensures the optimal use and performance of servers and network devises.
? Suggests and provides IT solutions to business and management problems.
? Ensures that all IT equipment complies with industry standards.
? Analyzes and resolves faults, which may range from lost passwords to a major system crash.
? Undertakes routine preventative measures to implement, maintain and monitor network security, particularly if the network connects to the internet.
? Provides training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence.
? Performs upgrades, sustains and maintains areas of network operations. This could include tasks associated with work with Exchange 2010, Outlook (including Web Access), Active Directory, DHCP, WINS, DNS, NAT, Sonicwall VPN, SAN, NAS, WatchGuard Firewall, Backup Exec backup and
recovery.
? Maintains/upgrades/analyzes/troubleshoots network and end user problems.
? Provides supervision to assigned staff as needed.
? Plans and implements future IT developments and undertakes related project work.
? Monitors the use of the web by employees.
? Monitors, installs and configures network device hardware and data communication systems throughout the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN).
? Isolates issues and provides solutions including forward looking design and new architecture solutions.
? Analyzes WAN bandwidth usage and forecasts future requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor?s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience in a related field. Minimum of 5 years related experience with Server Administration, Network Administration, Applications and Help Desk Support, including but not limited to,
? Experience with routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, etc.
? Experience working with Performance Monitoring Software.
? Experience deploying, supporting and testing disaster recovery networks and exercises.
? Excellent customer service, written communication and interpersonal communication skills.
? Experience with MS Exchange.
? Experience with TCP/IP, WINS, DHCP, LAN/WAN environments.
? Storage virtualization and SAN experience.
? Experience with Remote Desktop Solutions (Citrix, Terminal Services).
? Experience implementing and managing Active Directory, network shares, printer management, and networked applications.
? Experience with preparation of documentation maintaining issue tracking knowledge bases.

Certifications are desirable ? Certification in Cisco, Juniper, Extreme Networks, Wireshark, CISSP, CEH, Security +

? Understanding of enterprise level networking concepts, function, protocols and interactions for the local and wide area environment;
? Advanced knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, Sniffers, protocol analyzers, QoS, NAT, Routing protocols such as, OSPF, BGP, VoIP protocols such as, SIP, H323, Avaya CM 6.3, Network Access Control, NAC, Endpoint management, Network Management software, SSL VPN, IPsec VPN, PPTP and ESXi 5.5+;
? Working knowledge of various server hardware including, but not limited to SCSI controllers, SCSI enclosures, RAID technologies and configurations;
? Working knowledge of Windows Operating System;
? Working knowledge of the software installation, physical design, and backup requirements regarding SQL Server 2010+, Microsoft IIS Server, MS SharePoint 2010+ and Terminal Services;
? Advanced networking infrastructure skills to manage, switches, cabling, wireless, routers and other network related peripherals;
? Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
? Strong research, creative solution making and problem solving ability;
? Ability to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed;
? The ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, moving from task to task without loss of efficiency and composure;
