Description
GROWING and ESTABLISHED manufacturing company in Dayton is seeking an accounting manager due to growth!

? Monthly financial close reporting process, annual financial internal and external audits, executing of the company?s accounting systems, practices, controls and procedures in conformance with generally accepted accounting principles.
? Manage the recording of monthly cash activity into G/L, reconciliation of bank statements to G/L, and researching/resolving of any un-reconciled cash transactions timely and accurately
? Manage the collection and summarization of financial data to prepare monthly, quarterly, annual balance sheet reconciliations of accruals, provide analysis of accounts, report complex balance sheet movements and resolve discrepancies
? Maintain the general ledger, fixed asset reporting, prepare monthly, quarterly, annual reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, seeing through any research and resolution needed due to discrepancies
? Preparation of multi-company and consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules required at month-end
? Assist in analysis of financial statement accounts to identify unusual trends or errors
? Manage three direct reports in Accounts Payable, overseeing weekly wire/ACH payment and bimonthly check runs to ensure timely payment to vendors as well as 2 staff accountants
? Train and motivate staff to develop accounting skills and financial understanding
? Research A/R and A/P issues that flow through to the G/L, assist in evaluating various effects of the interface between Accounting and MRP systems and interact with other departments as needed to resolve the root cause of any problems
? Perform a variety of month-end closing procedures including approval and posting of journal entries
? Develop and implement procedures to streamline monthly closings and other financial activities
Requirements
Requirements:
? Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA preferred
? 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
? Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge, ERP experience
? Strong attention to detail
? Previous management experience
