Senior Financial Analyst
A Senior Financial Analyst is sought by a Non-Profit company for a long term temporary-to-fulltime project opportunity. The main focus of this role will be on providing support to the Senior Vice President. A primary point of contact for all financial issues, the Senior Financial Analyst consultant will handle project spending, planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting. You will also implement analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements and also offer decision-making support for future company investments. Your responsibilities
• Drive existing management reporting
• Offer assistance for ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests as necessary
• Identify and execute financial analysis to optimize business performance
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting - analyzing financial results, distilling/synthesizing key trends, assessing current and future business risk, and communicating critical updates to senior leadership
• Coordinate with Functional leads to draft management reporting, accounting and compliance advisement, and guarantee alignment of global as well as local operational initiatives
• Track financial results with greater accuracy and discretion by working with Operating and Accounting to drive improved management reporting
• Build advantageous relationships with integral business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership
• Manage monthly and quarterly close, along with puts and takes process
• Influence the development of repeatable business, operational, and financial processes for all necessary teams
• BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
• Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
• Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
• Skilled at process reengineering and optimization
• Able to think critically and operate effectively with management
• Possess strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Skilled in working cross functionally across teams and gaining favor of key decision maker
• Upwards of 7 years in operations finance necessary for this position
• Adeptness in interviewing
• Comprehensive knowledge of internal control review
• Project management process improvement experience
