Description
The Creative Group is seeking User Experience (UX) Designer candidates on behalf of a client with an immediate need in the Fort Lee, New Jersey area. This is a short-term temporary-to-full-time opportunity. As the User Experience (UX) designer, you will oversee user research, the administering of interviews and surveys of diverse populations, and the translation of results into sitemaps, wireframes, and design prototypes. On top of the day-to-day tasks, this role is also responsible for creating the overall functionality of the product and work tirelessly to make incremental improvements to deliver an exceptional user experience. How you will make an impact:
- Assisting other team members as needed (QA, data entry, production updates, resizing of graphics, etc.)
- Working closely with other members of the digital marketing team on the development of new initiatives
- Collaborating with business users and application developers to translate requirements into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
- Organizing usability testing on prototypes or finished products to assess the quality of a user experience
- Use results from user research and workflow analysis to craft strong experiences for users of a product
- Focus areas may consist of content, controls, visual design, packaging, customer/technical support, branding, and other aspects of user experience
- Creating tools such as personas, usage scenarios, site maps, taxonomies, and wireframes
Requirements
- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
- Well versed in graphic design, video editing, web development, and photography applications such as Adobe Creative Suite
- A portfolio demonstrating UX (wireframes/prototypes/other UX artifacts) and visual design work
- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of prototype/mockup software (e.g. Sketch, Balsamiq, Zeplin)
- Well versed Web Accessibility and testing tools (e.g. Lighthouse, Google Accessibility Developer Tools)
- 3+ years of experience within the digital design/UX industry
- Demonstrated understanding of design software applications and tools
- Our ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills
- Previous experience working with wireframes
- Practical knowledge of Onsite
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
- Solid understanding of Adobe Photoshop
- Command of Adobe InDesign
- Demonstrated knowledge of Interactive
- Earlier work involving web page logic flow
- Responsive design experience highly preferred
- Concept skills experience highly desired
- Adeptness in design skills
- General familiarity with on-line
- Good understanding of web page development
- C2B (consumer to business) experience preferred
- Background working with web design
- Bachelor's degree
