Description
A growing Eugene area company is expanding their Customer Service team and OfficeTeam has immediate openings for full time Customer Support Specialists to assist with answering high volume inbound phone calls! The Customer Support Specialist will answer busy inbound calls and assist members and providers with website applications and navigation, field questions and direct calls to appropriated departments. The Customer Support Specialist will also enter and review referral and prior authorization requests, which include researching and obtaining additional information as necessary. The Customer Support Specialist will review claims for appropriate billing, correct payment, will identify and route claims for advanced or clinical review and identify care coordination. Associates degree or experience in relevant field required. 1+ year experience taking busy inbound calls in a busy medical reception or scheduler role or call center environment preferred. Experience in health-related setting; insurance prior authorization, claims or coding and authorization knowledge of medical/dental terminology and coding along with excellent communication skills and experience are helpful but not required. Solid Microsoft Office Suite skills and alpha/numeric data entry are are also required.

Requirements
- Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well

- Proven computer skills

- 2+ years' experience of proven performance in a goal-driven & customer-focused environment desired

- Strong customer service and office administrative skills

- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, e.g. ACT!, Illustrator, Highrise, and Insightly

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Experience with explanation of benefits (EOB's)

- Microsoft Outlook experience highly desired

- Previous experience working with import customer service

- Earlier work involving export customer service

- Switchboard phone (1-10 lines) experience preferred

- Good understanding of patient registrar

- Practical knowledge of pre-certification specialist

- Quality experience with Microsoft Excel

- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Word

- Comprehensive knowledge of customer service experience

- Comprehension of medical abbreviations

- Wide ranging experience with records maintenance

- General familiarity with insurance referrals and verifications

- Foundational knowledge in medical terminology

- Strong familiarity with ICD-10

- Skills in ICD-9 CPT-4

- Well-founded grasp of customer service

- Experience performing extensive research to resolve complex customer inquiries

- Upbeat, positive attitude and an approach to work rooted in professionalism

- Ability to interact effectively with internal and external partners and clients/customers
