Accountemps is partnering with a growing company in the Elkhart, Indiana area who has an opening for a Payroll Clerk who will support the Payroll department in a variety of duties. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter to work with an industry leader on a career path with growth in this challenging position. The company is seeking a dynamic candidate to enhance the team's efficiency by being able to communicate effectively with both the internal team and outside customers. The Payroll Clerk's job duties consist of data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is offered on a long-term temporary-to-full-time basis.

Key responsibilities

- Configure custom reports

- Supply the organization with instructions/training regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.

- Correspond with employees via email and phone to garner approvals on timesheets

- Administer and distribute reports as instructed

- Organize data into spreadsheets and the payroll system

- Conduct clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc

- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Requirements
- Prior knowledge in Payroll software

- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- Enthusiasm when it comes to learning new systems and ideas

- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired

- Microsoft Excel experience desired

- Data entry experience

- Payroll experience

- Previous payroll experience

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
