Description
If you're looking for work where you will audit all aspects of full-cycle payroll for a large organization, and you have proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, you will be interested in a very short-term opening at Accountemps. This might be the right opportunity if you can handle a dynamic work environment that requires strong research and problem-solving abilities in regards to multi-state payroll and related taxes. This Payroll Auditor opportunity will be located in Dayton, Ohio as a short-term temporary role.

What you get to do every day:


- Reconcile payroll liabilities for all employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments

- Retrieve and assess information in order to resolve payroll discrepancies

- Exercise review and verification of source documents

- Compile all information in reference to summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages for reports

- Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines

- Report changes where necessary after maintaining payroll operations via company policies and procedures

- Able to reconcile employee deductions and other liabilities

- Managing payroll information by keeping proper records for collecting, calculating, and entering data

- Track payroll record changes by entering updates in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers

- Secure confidential payroll operation information and maintain employee confidence
Requirements
- Expertise in federal and state payroll regulations and requirements

- Preference will be given to Certified Payroll detail oriented

- Prior experience working with high volume multi-state payroll

- Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required

- Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills

- Multi-state payroll experience

- Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills

- Mastery of internal controls
