Robert Half has teamed up with a well-established, high net worth family office to assist in the recruitment of an Accounting Manager / Controller. The role will report to the principal owner and will handle all accounting and finance related functions. Pay is “market” depending on the candidate’s experience and skill set.

Dynamic and challenging position analyzing and reporting the financial position of real estate investments. Interact with Asset Managers, Portfolio Managers, Property Accountants, Auditors and Financial Analysts gathering and reporting financial information.

Family Office Accounting Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

Accounting / Reporting
• Perform accounting and reporting on direct investments including set up and accounting for complex multi-tier investment entities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual portfolio level consolidated financial statements and other client reporting.
• Responsible for oversight of property level accounting and coordination of client equity contributions and distributions.
• Perform intensive review of monthly property level reports.
• Coordinate and insure completion of annual audits by required deadlines.
• Assist in design and implementation of internal audit practices and procedures.
Financial Analysis / Special Projects
• Calculate and analyze performance returns, advisor incentive fees, and acquisition / disposition fees on family office owned entities.
• Assist other departments with the acquisition and disposition of real estate properties.
• Analyze cash flow projections and budget variances.

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Skills:
• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• CPA preferred but not required
• Four or more years work experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficient in Excel
• Real estate and/or joint venture partnership accounting background is a plus.

Requirements
- CPA/MBA preferred

- Customer service oriented communication skills

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

- Recent relevant financial experience

- Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Journal entries experience desired

- Demonstrated technology and analytical abilities
