Description
Robert Half Finance and Accounting has partnered with a growing company in North Dallas to identify an Accounts Payable Manager The Accounts Payable (AP) Manager under the leadership of the Controller will manage all activities in the accounts payable department. The Accounts Payable Manager will lead, motivate, reward, and develop the AP team, the Accounts Payable Manager will also ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices. The AP Manager will be responsible for the following.

- Lead a team of 10 + Accounts Payable Processors by training, coaching, motivating, setting goals, assist in evaluating performance and planning work assignments.
- Research and problem solve invoice discrepancies to ensure on-time payment and implement improvements to this process.
- Manage a high volume of daily invoices that are imported into the accounting systems by way of uploads and resolve invoice rejections relating to PO discrepancies, invalid account segments and other accounting errors.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of invoice processing which includes automation project initiatives, testing new functionality and supporting system upgrades.
- Maintaining vendor files, including scanning and electronically filing documents
- Responding to vendor inquiries and communicate regarding invoice or statement discrepancies
-Research outstanding checks
- Creating new vendors in the system and filing/receiving of Form W-9s
- Ensuring timely annual reporting of Form 1099s
- Review Sales/Use tax and validate accuracy for monthly filings
- Monitor ratios such as Days Payable Outstanding and provide analysis and insight on variances
- Monthly reporting of AP scorecards, including aged lists
- Duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time.

Requirements
Bachelor?s degree preferred
5 + years of related work experience
Advanced knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong motivational and leadership skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
