The Controller position is a full-time opportunity in the Concord, New Hampshire region. This role's duties will require planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. To succeed in this role, you will need to effectively manage self and others within strict time constraints when providing client services, lead while also being a team player, generate innovative ideas, and challenge the status quo. How you will make an impact

- Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations G/L analysis

- Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings collections, and payroll

- Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required

- Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation

- Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

- Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals

- Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports

- Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques

- Assure client expectations are met by reviewing deliverables of self and team

- Respond on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail

- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

- Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings

- Financial statement preparation experience required

- Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
