Description
Patent Legal Assistant Case Coordinator is needed ASAP for top International Consulting Corporation. This corporation has the experience of 50 years specializing in service solutions in all fields of global IP management. A broad array of prestigious, globally active corporations depend on this corporation as a reliable partner to take care of their IP management issues.
For our Patent Annuities Department in our Chicago office we are currently looking to recruit a Legal Assistant ASAP to join our growing team. As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will work with corporations Corporate and Law Firm clients in all aspects of the Patent Annuity process. Compensation is highly competitive and the successful candidate will have the opportunity and resources for career growth within the organization.
This position reports to the Head of the Patent Annuity Department as well as to the COO of the US operations. It is based in our Chicago loop office location.
Your Responsibilities Include:
? Communicate instructions to corporate office regarding annuity payments and other requests
? Communicate with corporate and law firm customers regarding annuities and other required information
? Responsible for processing incoming and outgoing correspondence and monitoring deadlines in our proprietary docketing database
? Collaborate with Business Development, Marketing, Finance and other departments as required
? Docketing patent and client data
? All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Your Qualifications:
? Undergraduate degree with either a paralegal certificate or a minimum of two years of experience under the supervision of a patent attorney or as part of a corporate patent department
? Three to five years of previous patent paralegal experience is preferred for this opening
? Excellent organization skills required
? Must be willing to take initiative to ensure completion of tasks; proactive, team player, and able to work productively under pressure
? Strong written and oral communication skills required
? Ability to manage multiple priorities and track extensive deadlines
? The candidate should be detail oriented, a strong problem solver and show an entrepreneurial mind-set
? Computer proficient, with good knowledge of IP docketing systems as well as MS Office applications
? Experience and knowledge of patents and the patent annuity process, international patent procedures and formalities is helpful
? Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work independently as well as closely with team members
? High energy and a willingness to learn is also a plus
