Description
The Support Coordinators actively engage with clients to provide IT support ranging from workstation issues, email issues, printer issues, and basic networking and server support (enhanced list provided below). Some required traveling locally in the Chicagoland area to terminal sites. Position must communicate with the users to ensure accurate diagnosis, troubleshoot the issue, resolve or escalate the issue appropriately, and document all activities and work performed within our ticketing system.

• Workstation Support (Hardware, OS Patches, Drivers, OS rebuilds)
• Peripheral Support (Printers, Scanners, Faxes, Etc.)
• Connectivity Troubleshooting (Internet, AS\400, Applications, File Shares)
• Basic Server Support (Active Directory, Terminal Services, DNS)
• Basic Networking (PoE, Linksys, Netgear, DHCP, NAT, DNS, Wireless etc.)
• Mobile Device Support
• Email Support (POP3, IMAP, Exchange)
• Anti-Virus and Anti Malware installation and PC cleanup
• Application Installation
Requirements
Main Activities:
• Working from the office on service tickets
• Documenting notes in service tickets
• Dispatching to user sites as needed to resolve issues
• Call technology vendors to open and escalate tickets
• Install Workstations, Applications, VPN


Desired Education/Certifications: - A+, N+, MCP, CCENT

Desired Technical Skills: PC/Mac, Printing, End user Application Support, Structured
Cabling, ISP Installation, WLAN, Antivirus, Mobile Devices, Email, basic networking and server support

Minimum Experience: 1-2 year of experience in IT troubleshooting and supporting computer, networking, or server infrastructure.

Knowledge Experience: Ideally a candidate would have 2-3 years of experience troubleshooting and supporting computers, peripherals like printers, basic networking issues, and basic server issues. The ideal candidate has worked in end-user support roles in the past. Candidate would also either have the actual certifications listed or at least a practical working knowledge of the content covered in those certifications.
