Full-Time Accounting & Finance
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail. Position requires accuracy, efficiency, sound judgment, solid knowledge of accounting procedures, effective verbal and written collections skills and strong clerical and computer skills. This position requires cooperative and effective interaction with customers/vendors and staff from other departments, including Customer Service, Sales and Shipping. The chosen candidate will be working under the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for a variety of accounting and administrative duties
Performing various month end duties such as payroll recording, accrual calculations, sales tax calculations and submissions, expense allocations, and various other tasks associated with period end.
Maintains general ledger accounts by reconciling accounts receivable detail and control accounts; adjusting entries for prepaid amortizations; analyzing and maintaining accounts payable ledgers; preparing fixed asset depreciation and accruals.
Corrects errors by posting adjusting journal entries
Maintains financial records for subsidiary companies by analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
Inventory adjustments, credit memo creation, and various other admin tasks
Provides financial status information by preparing special reports; completing special projects.
Familiar with intercompany journal entries, reconciliation, and consolidated financial statements (4 companies)
1-2 years of accounting experience
Excel knowledge (Intermediate)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer proficiency
Distribution industry experience preferred
AA Degree or higher
Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Syspro Software is a plus
Strong excel and reporting skills.
