OUR COMPANY:

We are a well-established manufacturing company located in Downtown Berkeley. We are a one-stop shop that offers complete metal fabrication and finishing services. Our clients come from industries such as material handling, heavy construction, railroad, agriculture, medical equipment, government contractors, and material handling equipment manufacturers.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Admin/Accounting clerk to support our business operations as we grow. This position will be supporting our Office Manager and will be working cohesively with another Admin/Accounting clerk.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Process all incoming mail and deliveries and distribute to appropriate departments
? Coordinate stocking and purchasing of materials and supplies and maintain supply levels throughout our campuses
? Reconcile all vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
? Ensure all discounts are taken and timely and accurate payments are made
? Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
? Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
? Prepare weekly check runs
? Process check requests
? Audit and process credit card bills
? Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly
? Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
? Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
? Create and maintain all filing of office documents and invoices including scanning documents for company electronic files
? Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
? 1-3 years? experience in Accounting or Administrative department is required
? 1-3 years Customer Service experience preferred
? Demonstrate strong analytical and computer skills, accounting system knowledge, and Microsoft Office-primarily Excel
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management
? Excellent planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
? Experience working in a team-oriented environment is a huge plus
? Motivated and willing to learn
