Accounting Manager
Our client, a family owned, $15M revenue, manufacturing company that could be characterized as having the ultimate family-friendly, longevity inducing environment, is seeking an Accounting Manager for their offices in the Belding, MI area. This position will be replacing a retiring 20+ year employee, will be reporting directly to the Owner/President, and will be the top finance person at the organization. This Accounting Manager will be an important cog in the machinery of the company and will be expected to provide Leadership and Integrity. Additionally, this role will:
?Perform Month End, Quarter End, and Year End Close.
?Support a team of 2 other individuals that spans HR, Payroll, Payables, and Receivables, among other duties.
?Consolidate Financials for a few businesses owned by the family and associated with the main company.
?Negotiate rates and plans for Insurance and 401(k).
?Participate in hiring replacements for retiring colleagues.
?Determine Corporate and Payroll Taxes.
?Work with QuickBooks and Peachtree (Sage 50) accounting software.
Requirements
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
10+ years of recent relevant financial experience
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Demonstrated technology and analytical abilities
Month end closings experience
General familiarity with consolidations
Command of Peachtree Sage
Experience with Payroll Taxes
QuickBooks experience
Strong familiarity with cost accounting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset
