Description
This thriving wood forest product company in the Portland metro area is seeking a Full-Charge Bookkeeper/Sales Support to add to their growing company. Currently, the owner of the company is handling the financials, but her goals is to eventually transfer all the financial responsibilities to the new candidate so that the owner can eventually focus on other responsibilities within the growing company. This candidate must have at least 3 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience and also be willing to handle numerous other tasks including sales support and vendor relationships, human resources, and office management duties. The right candidate fit will be someone who is self-disciplined, driven, team oriented, and not afraid to “get their hands dirty” in all kinds of work. The “not my job” attitude is not going to be the right fit for this company and their current needs. Requirements
- Strong organization skills

- Excellent attention to detail

- Ability to multi-task

- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

- 3+ years of related experience- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

- Demonstrated knowledge of accounts receivable

- Experience with general ledger

- Adeptness in accounts payable

- Payroll experience highly preferred

- Practical knowledge of bank reconciliations

- Financial reporting experience

- Solid understanding of HR (Human Resources)

- QuickBooks experience

- Microsoft Excel experience required

- General familiarity with account reconciliation

- Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills

- Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

- Significant accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred

- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired

- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
