Accounting Clerk
Robert Half Finance has a great Accounting Clerk opportunity to get your foot in the door with a well-known industry leader in Allendale! In this Accounting Clerk role, you will match invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, enter data and assist with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) processes. Daily Responsibilities:
- Assist in budgetary control by monitoring budgets and originating or verifying adjustments and transfers
- Reconcile discrepancies, and prepare correction documents as needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts
- Add financial information to journals, registers, and ledgers, manually or electronically
- Revise transaction documents and other documents or entries to ensure correctness; may require other actions
- Support accounts payable by filing vendor invoice and disbursements and by matching filing A/P invoices
- Perform general accounting and administration tasks, such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects
- Handle Accounts Receivable tasks: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance
- Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
- Produce statements and reports using a variety of sources
Requirements
- Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
- Shipping experience
- Document control experience
- Customer service experience desired
- Excellent data entry skills
- Entry-level applicants considered
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP
- 2+ years of accounting experience required
