Opportunities Abound for IT Professionals in Indianapolis

First Half of 2015 IT Hiring Forecast infographicAccording to the latest Robert Half Technology IT Hiring Forecast and Local Trend Report, 90 percent of chief information officers (CIOs) in Indianapolis plan to hire in the first half of 2015. Twenty-one percent of those CIOs plan to add more staff to expand the size of their IT departments.
Activity within the manufacturing and healthcare sectors are continuing to drive the majority of IT hiring in Indianapolis, according to regional vice president of Robert Half Technology, Jill Crowe. Tech professionals with experience in these sectors are in especially high demand.

When it comes to recruiting, 65 percent of Indianapolis CIOs said it’s somewhat or very challenging to find skilled IT professionals. In this candidate-driven market employers need to move fast and be ready to provide a competitive offer to qualified candidates. Otherwise, hiring managers risk losing these professionals to a competitor.
