<p><strong>Credit Controller | Bristol (Office Based) | Up to £34,000</strong></p><p> </p><p>Robert Half are working with an organisation where an opportunity has arisen for a proactive Credit Controller to join a busy regional credit team, taking ownership of a portfolio of accounts. You'll work to maximise cash flow while building strong, lasting relationships with customers and colleagues, balancing firm, timely collection with a customer first approach.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Chase outstanding debt by phone, letter and email, tailoring your approach to account type</p><p>Accurately allocate customer payments across various payment methods</p><p>Take payments over the telephone and manage approved payment plans</p><p>Resolve invoice queries, liaising with branches and customers as needed</p><p>Maintain stopped account listings and up-to-date customer records</p><p>Prepare customer files and new credit applications for authorisation</p><p>Escalate problem debts appropriately</p><p>Provide general administrative support to the credit office</p><p>What We're Looking For</p><p><strong>Essential:</strong></p><p>Confident, professional telephone manner, comfortable handling difficult debt collection conversations</p><p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</p><p>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</p><p>Strong relationship building skills across all levels</p><p>Excellent organisation and ability to manage a busy workload</p><p>A proactive approach to credit control</p><p>Competent user of the Microsoft Office suite</p><p><strong>Desirable:</strong></p><p>Around two years' credit control experience</p><p><strong> Benefits</strong></p><p>25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service</p><p>Contributory pension scheme</p><p>Generous profit share scheme</p><p>Onsite parking</p><p>Regular company social events</p><p> </p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
