<p></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Coventry (3 days per week on-site)<br /> <strong>Day Rate:</strong> £300-£350 per day (DOE)<br /> <strong>Contract:</strong> Interim</p><h2>The Opportunity</h2><p>A growing Coventry-based business is seeking an experienced <strong>Management Accountant / Finance Analyst</strong> to support the finance function during a busy period. This role is ideally suited to a hands-on accountant who combines strong core accounting skills with the ability to develop meaningful reporting and dashboards in <strong>Power BI</strong>.</p><p>The successful candidate will take ownership of management accounts, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, whilst helping improve visibility and decision-making through enhanced BI reporting.</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts.</li><li>Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.</li><li>Lead month-end processes including accruals, prepayments and journals.</li><li>Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.</li><li>Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to improve financial reporting and business insight.</li><li>Analyse financial performance and provide commentary to key stakeholders.</li><li>Work closely with operational teams to understand costs, trends and profitability.</li><li>Improve reporting processes and automate manual finance tasks where possible.</li><li>Support year-end audit requirements and ad hoc finance projects.</li></ul><h2>Candidate Profile</h2><ul><li>Qualified, part-qualified or QBE accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).</li><li>Strong management accounting background.</li><li>Experience producing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.</li><li>Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.</li><li>Strong Power BI skills with the ability to build and enhance reports and dashboards.</li><li>Advanced Excel skills.</li><li>Comfortable working independently and engaging with non-finance stakeholders.</li><li>Available to start at short notice.</li></ul><h2>Desirable</h2><ul><li>Experience within manufacturing, engineering or distribution businesses.</li><li>Exposure to ERP systems and reporting improvements.</li><li>Knowledge of Power Query, DAX or SQL.</li></ul><h2>What's on Offer</h2><ul><li>Immediate interim opportunity.</li><li>Hybrid working pattern with 3 days on-site in Coventry.</li><li>Broad role combining financial control, analysis and business partnering.</li><li>Opportunity to make a lasting impact through improved reporting and insight.</li></ul><br><p> </p><p> </p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
