Ash Athawale is a principal based in the Washington D.C. office of Robert Half Executive Search. He works with clients across the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Ash is an international search executive with over 20 years of experience in assisting clients in finding the very best talent for their leadership teams in finance & accounting, operations, technology, human resources, and sales & marketing teams. His global clients are in diverse industry sectors like federal government, healthcare, education, manufacturing, software and information technology, banking and financial services, as well as public accounting firms and not-for-profits. His strengths lie in acquiring tough-to-find skills while also providing a strong cultural fit.
Ash joined Robert Half in 2006 to lead the practices for Robert Half Management Resources and Robert Half Technology in Westborough, Massachusetts before transferring to Dubai in 2009 to establish Robert Half Technology in the Middle East. Upon his return to the United States, Ash led the practice for Robert Half Technology in New England before joining Robert Half Executive Search.
Having lived, worked and traveled internationally, Ash brings a truly global perspective to the executive search process.
At Robert Half Executive Search, Ash has successfully completed searches for public, not-for-profit and private companies – from startups to large corporations – to help build senior executive leadership teams. He has placed c-suite executives into roles such as CEO, president, CFO, COO, CIO, CFO, CHRO, chief development officer, chief clinical officer, vice president and director.
Prior to gaining significant international experience in executive search and recruitment, Ash provided management consulting expertise and delivery management solutions to clients in the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. In these engagements, he helped build large teams to deliver complex solutions by using efficient resource management and streamlining human resource and recruitment functions.
Personal and Professional Activities
Ash has been actively involved with supporting the Cass Business School Executive MBA program in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, providing guidance to prospective executives and alumni. He is a frequent contributor to a variety of related industry articles and publications. In the United States, he has worked with a number of networking organizations and has been a strong supporter of Junior Achievement, the American Cancer Society, National Parkinson Foundation and the Red Cross by raising funds and supporting national campaigns.
Ash has a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Cass Business School (City University, London) and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (United Kingdom) as well as a Bachelor of Computer Engineering from India.
