Description :

Our client is seeking an experienced Freelance Medical Writer for a 6 month on-site assignment.

Responsibilities will include:

Writing abstracts, manuscript outlines, slides and slide notes, and posters when required
Performing literature searches on background of drug and/or therapeutic category in keeping with strategic direction
Understanding and executing strategic direction and content
Implementing the content strategy for all clinical documents as assigned
Independently authoring study level documents, implementing project level data presentation and messaging standards for the assigned documents, validating individual study protocol design and clinical study report key messages based on the strategy provided
Formatting and adhering to global and electronic publishing standards of the individual clinical documents that he/she is the author of
Fact checking documents for medical and scientific accuracy
Interacting with cross-functional teams including answering questions regarding content issues on manuscripts and slide/poster presentations, attending meetings & demonstrating knowledge of content, and participating actively in teleconferences and onsite meetings

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience with medical writing in an agency or corporate setting
Thorough understanding of the overall drug development process
Specific knowledge of the research report development process, regulatory and drug safety requirements, and clinical data management and statistical processes/functions is required
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal required to articulate concepts and ideas
Diplomatic, persuasive and be able to establish rapport with all key functional leaders and experts throughout the organization
