This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success and growth of our firm while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.</p><p><br></p><p>Reporting to the Controller, the Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the financial operations of the firm.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Accounts payable and accounts receivable: Record, monitor, and manage day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.</p><p>• Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and credit card accounts, as well as general ledger accounts, to maintain up-to-date and accurate records.</p><p>• Monitor and record project-related costs, ensuring accurate allocation of expenses to specific projects or cost centers.</p><p>• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow analyses.</p><p>• Manage payroll processing, including tax calculations, benefits administration, and year-end reporting (T4s, ROEs).</p><p>• Ensure compliance with Canadian financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.</p><p>• Assist in budget preparation, tracking performance, and providing insights for future planning.</p><p>• Mentor junior bookkeeping staff (if applicable) and collaborate with accountants, auditors, and other team members as needed.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
