We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Toronto, Ontario. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in payroll systems and processes, particularly those familiar with Ceridian Dayforce. As part of the healthcare industry, you will support payroll operations and ensure accurate and timely processing while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. Responsibilities: • Verify payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support for Ceridian Dayforce payroll systems. • Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues efficiently. • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation related to payroll processes and system usage. • Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting employees with payroll and benefits questions. • Conduct audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures. • Support training initiatives to enhance user understanding of payroll systems and procedures. • Administer employee benefits and retirement plans, including RRSP and 401k contributions. • Stay updated on payroll regulations and best practices to ensure compliance. • Generate reports and analytics to support decision-making and improve payroll operations.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll operations or related roles. • Proficiency in Ceridian Dayforce and other payroll software systems. • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and related accounting platforms. • Strong understanding of payroll processes, benefit administration, and compliance requirements. • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues. • Solid knowledge of auditing practices and accounting principles. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
