Accountant
<p><strong>Accountant Contract Opportunity - Part-time (2-2.5 days per week)</strong></p><p><br></p><p>We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a contract basis for a duration of 4-6 months, with the possibility of extension or transitioning to a permanent role. Based in Toronto, Ontario, this role requires someone with strong attention to detail who can manage accounts payable and receivable, perform reconciliations, and assist with financial clean-up tasks. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>• Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.</p><p>• Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.</p><p>• Assist with preparing for an upcoming audit by organizing and reviewing financial records.</p><p>• Work with QuickBooks Online and other industry-specific accounting software to maintain accurate records.</p><p>• Support financial clean-up tasks as needed to streamline operations.</p><p>• Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.</p><p>• Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and practices.</p><p>• Provide periodic updates to the external accountant who visits the office every 7-10 days.</p><p>• Adapt to a flexible work schedule, working either four or five days per week.</p>
<p>• Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle accounting roles.</p><p>• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with industry-specific accounting software.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.</p><p>• Ability to prepare for audits and organize financial records effectively.</p><p>• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.</p><p>• Familiarity with payroll and invoice processing.</p><p>• Capability to work independently and meet deadlines.</p><p>• Flexibility to work a two-day or two and a half-day schedule as required.</p>
