Our client is undisputed the leader in their industry and is seeking a driven <strong>Finance Director</strong> to lead the Canadian District Finance function for a global company, working side-by-side with Senior executives, Sales leaders, and Operations to drive success across the business. <strong>This is NOT an accounting position</strong>, but rather an exciting Finance Business Partner role to be the right-hand person of the Canadian President and the local Executive team. The ideal candidate is a CPA or MBA who has demonstrated strong leadership and Finance Business Partnership for large sales-oriented organizations. As a CPA or MBA, you have the technical knowledge to understand and interpret the numbers, but your career has progressed well beyond debits and credits. <p><strong>What We’re Looking For:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Commerce combined with CPA or MBA.</li><li>8-10 years of relevant experience including demonstrated success as a Finance Business Partner.</li><li>Proven leadership talents, with experience developing and managing a finance team.</li><li>Strategic leader who can help drive the business forward.</li><li>Strong track record in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and business partnering within a complex, multi-site organization.</li><li>Excellent communication skills—you’re adept at building cross-functional relationships at all levels.</li><li>You must have strong executive presence and be able to effectively discuss financial results with everyone from the CEO down to the most junior part-time employees.</li><li>Experience presenting financial information to Executives across the organization.</li><li>Industry experience in retail or building materials manufacturing is preferred.</li><li>Willingness to be onsite and travel regularly across Canada (up to 20% travel).</li></ul>
