Accounting Specialist
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. This is a Contract to permanent position that offers the opportunity to contribute to essential accounting operations and administrative tasks. The role involves handling billing processes, accounts payable functions, and invoice management with accuracy and efficiency.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process and review invoices from subcontractors, ensuring accuracy and proper billing within the system.<br>• Utilize Excel to populate data and generate gross margin reports, applying basic formulas as needed.<br>• Perform detailed analysis of billing and accounts payable transactions to ensure compliance with company standards.<br>• Collaborate with the national control center to address requests and coordinate with subcontractors.<br>• Manage accounts payable tasks, including payment processing and vendor communication.<br>• Maintain and update accounting records using various financial software systems.<br>• Assist in resolving discrepancies in billing and accounts payable processes.<br>• Support administrative backlog tasks and ensure timely completion of required documentation.<br>• Ensure all accounting procedures align with organizational policies and regulatory standards.<br>• Provide regular updates and reports to management regarding financial activities.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems such as ADP, Ceridian, and Concur.<br>• Solid understanding of accounts payable processes and billing procedures.<br>• Experience working with ERP systems and other financial tools.<br>• Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports using Excel.<br>• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to handle multiple business requests simultaneously.<br>• Excellent communication skills for interacting with subcontractors and internal teams.<br>• Familiarity with payment processing and invoice management.<br>• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices relevant to the role.
