Accounts Payable Clerk
<p>Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team on a contract basis in Burnaby, British Columbia. In this role, you will manage a high volume of invoices and intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate and timely processing. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounts payable processes.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Process and review approximately 400 invoices per month, along with 200 intercompany transactions.</p><p>• Match invoices to receiving documents and verify against order entries to ensure accuracy.</p><p>• Enter financial data into the Adagio system with precision and efficiency.</p><p>• Prepare bi-monthly payment runs through a Scotia Bank-connected platform.</p><p>• Handle inventory and freight-related accounts payable tasks.</p><p>• Maintain organized records of transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.</p><p>• Collaborate with other team members to resolve discrepancies and address inquiries.</p><p>• Assist in streamlining accounts payable processes for improved efficiency.</p>
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role.<br>• Proficiency in using Adagio Accounting Suite and Microsoft Excel.<br>• Strong understanding of general accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and check runs.<br>• Ability to manage high volumes of data entry with accuracy and attention to detail.<br>• Experience working with inventory and distribution-related transactions is an asset.<br>• Quick learner with a proactive attitude and willingness to adapt to new systems.<br>• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to ask questions to clarify tasks.<br>• Familiarity with Accpac software is considered an advantage.
