Staff accountants with up to 3 years’ experience are responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, assisting with financial reporting, and contributing to a smooth-running finance department.

Typical staff accountant – 0-3 years’ experience duties:

Maintain general ledger accounts by processing financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll (may vary depending on company size).

Prepare journal entries to record financial activities and ensure their accuracy and compliance with Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (CGAAP).
