It’s a competitive job market and more than money or benefits, the number one reason people move on from their current job is for advancement. What’s more, 82 percent of workers say a lack of recognition annoys them, and nearly just as many cite that coworkers are being promoted faster. Employers, take note: Workers want the chance to prove themselves and climb the ladder. They also need to feel valued and challenged while still maintaining a healthy work/life balance.
