Starting salaries for creative and marketing professionals are projected to increase an average of 3.8 percent in the coming year, according to the 2016 Salary Guide from The Creative Group. While job seekers are generally in the driver’s seat due to talent shortages, skilled professionals in hot areas such as content strategy, mobile development and user experience (UX) design are particularly well positioned.
“Demand is often outpacing supply when it comes to top creative talent, especially in the digital space,” said Diane Domeyer, executive director of The Creative Group. “It’s important for employers to know that offering competitive salaries is an essential ingredient to attracting and retaining professionals with in-demand skills, but equally important is providing career development and leadership opportunities as well as perks that support a healthy work-life balance.”
Here are four positions expected to see significant starting salary increases in 2016, according to The Creative Group Salary Guide:
- Content strategists are forecast to receive an 8.1 percent bump in base compensation, with average starting salaries ranging from $77,500 to $109,000.
