Productivity Power Play

Workers say they’re most productive at the beginning of the week.

Monday 29%
Tuesday 27%
Wednesday 20%
Thursday 13%
Friday 11%

Mondays are especially productive in these cities:

1. Miami
2. New York
3. Tampa
4. Detroit
5. Atlanta

3 in 4 employees get more work done in the morning than any other time of day*

Early morning 44%
Late morning 31%
Early afternoon 14%
Late afternoon 6%
Lunchtime 2%
After work/late night 2%

Workplace preferences for optimal productivity vary:

Open office with coworkers 38%
Private office with door closed 36%
Working from home 18%
Working from another offsite location 9%

Responses do not total 100% due to rounding.

45% of workers 55+ want a private office with a closed door, while 38% of those 18-34 are most productive in an open office.

Professionals say this is the single biggest distraction that impacts their productivity:

Chatty or social coworkers 32%
Office noise 22%
Unnecessary conference calls and meetings 20%
Using my cell phone for calls, texting, social media 15%
Unnecessary emails 11%

Few professionals in Miami (18%) mind office chatter.
