Minutes per workday employees say they spend on sports-related activities during the college basketball playoffs: 25.5

That’s a total of 6 hours during the tournament!

How employees feel about celebrating sports events like March Madness at work:

It’s a slam dunk. I love being able to keep up with sports and bond with coworkers.
I’m on the sidelines. I’m not particularly into sports, but I’m OK playing along with activities
It deserves a foul. I’d rather just focus on work and not celebrate sports.

Common workplace behaviors around major sporting events, according to managers:

Employees taking time to check game scores and team rankings: 62%
Increase in the frequency of sports talk at work: 59%
Sports-themed office or workspace decorations: 55%
Employees wearing team jerseys or other fan attire: 48%
