Robert Half Technology surveyed 2,800 IT technology leaders in the U.S. to learn more about their hiring plans, what skills are in urgent demand for their teams and their strategic and staffing priorities for the first half of 2020.
Overall, the research revealed that it’s still a challenge to find skilled technology professionals: Not only did IT leaders say they plan to expand their full-time teams, but the majority are also incorporating the specialized skills of project professionals into their staffing strategies.
The top strategic priorities for IT leaders in our survey include maintaining IT systems security, investing in new technology and focusing on cloud projects. In terms of their staffing priorities, training and upskilling current staff topped the list, followed by recruiting new talent and retention.
