On-prem/cloud infrastructure engineer - Immediate Start<table width="680"><tbody><tr><td width="552"><p>Newcastle - Mayfield Site | 3 Days Onsite, 2 Days WFH | 4-Week Contract (Potential Extension)</p><p>This organisation, based in Newcastle (Mayfield site), is hiring an On-Prem/Cloud Infrastructure Engineer on a 4-week contract with potential for extension. This hybrid role requires three days on-site and two remote workdays per week. It is ideal for someone who is immediately available.</p><p> </p><p>AWS (main requirement), Azure (nice to have), VMware, DNS, Active Directory (AD).</p><p> </p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Design, implement, and support cloud and on-premises infrastructure.</li><li>Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of services.</li><li>Collaborate with and assist the Security Operations Centre.</li><li>Configure and maintain IT infrastructure systems to safeguard company data and information.</li><li>Participate in infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and expansions.</li><li>Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.</li><li>Create and maintain detailed documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.</li><li>Perform planned infrastructure maintenance to minimize unplanned outages.</li></ul><p> </p><p>About You:</p><p>You are a self-starter with a professional attitude, strong adaptability, and a willingness to work across multiple ICT disciplines.</p><p> </p><p>Additional Qualifications:</p><ul><li>A tertiary qualification in IT or a related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li>Cloud certifications such as AWS SysOps Administrator (preferred) or Azure Administrator Associate.</li><li>Experience managing IT infrastructure in a large organization.</li><li>Strong skills in automating routine tasks using PowerShell.</li><li>Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li></ul><p> </p><p>This is a great opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional looking for an immediate start in a hybrid work environment.</p></td></tr></tbody></table><p><em>By clicking 'apply', you give your express consent that Robert Half may use your personal information to process your job application and to contact you from time to time for future employment opportunities.
